The Chinese Feng-Shui is based on ‘Tao’ principles, whereas Indian Vastu has religious overtones. The Chinese rely on animals as also the constructive/destructive cycles while Indians rely on rituals, yantras, mantras and deities. For instance, if one is born in a fire year, he would be benefited from having green or wooden objects around him, and so on. Feng-Shui is the fundamental base for constructing buildings and has fancied the Western World, though of late. The Principles of Feng-Shui are widely used in assessing, choosing, designing sites, buildings and interior and the idea to live in harmony with nature.
